“You are here for a reason”
This morning for just a few minutes I want to share with you
about this subject, that “You are here for a reason”
•
Everyone here today has come here for a reason.
•
What was something that drawed you here? Why did you come to
camp?
•
For myself I have always loved Summer Camp because its where I
find myself closest to God.
•
Did you know that there is 14 million students at Camp this summer?
That is a lot of people.
•
We may all have different things that drawed us here but now
“We Are Here, Together!”
•
In our eyes, many things have brought us here, but in God's eyes we
are here for a reason!
•
In God's eyes this has been a divine appointment.
Jeremiah 29:11-12 (NLT)
For I know the plans I have for you,” says the L
ORD. “They are plans for
good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. 12 In those
days when you pray, I will listen.
•
God's word says he knows the plan he has for you, they are plans for
good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
•
You attending this camp has been part of God's plan.
•
And I want to tell you today that the plan God has for you is an
amazing one.
•
This week, God is going to shake East Texas! I am believing their will
be souls saved from Hell, I believe that their will be students filled
with the holy spirit, with evidence of speaking in tongues. But more
than that God is going to change lives so lives can be changed.
•
I believe this week God is going to give us the strength and power to
do his plan.
•
I believe that for some of you it's going to be hard to decide, but I
want to encourage you this morning to trust in God's plan.
•
God is capable of doing unbelievable things this week at Summer
Camp.
•
But it has to start with us accepting his plan. It has to start with us
acknowledging that we are here for a reason.
•
It has to start with us making a decision that we want to change and
be the man that God has created us to be.
Today God wants to challenge you to change your world.
•
Don't just say yeah the world needs to be changed, but ask yourself
this morning “How can I change the world?”
•
This week at camp God is going to give you the tools, strength and
guidance to do that, but you have to accept it!
•
You have to be willing to change your world.
•
Your world is ready for someone to change it!
•
People are restless, they are looking for answers, they are scared, they
are mad, they are hurting.
•
And we have the answers!
•
Jesus talked about the world being ready for change.
John 4:35 - 38
35 You know the saying, ‘Four months between planting and harvest.’ But I
say, wake up and look around. The fields are already ripe[
e] for harvest. 36
The harvesters are paid good wages, and the fruit they harvest is people
brought to eternal life. What joy awaits both the planter and the harvester
alike! 37 You know the saying, ‘One plants and another harvests.’ And it’s
true. 38 I sent you to harvest where you didn’t plant; others had already
done the work, and now you will get to gather the harvest.”
In closing, lets decide that this year of camp is going to be
life changing!
•
That when we go home to our churches and youth groups we are
going to go out into the harvest field and save souls.
•
The way we do that is by knowing we are here for a reason! That reason
is to get filled up with the power of God. To be encouraged by each other!
To allow God to call us, and empower us and show us how important we
are to him.
Everyone say “I am important”
Come on say that out today, “I am important”!
You are important and our enemy knows that. The devil wants to take you
out! That's why camp is so important for you! This is where we get
equipped with the spiritual weapons to defend ourselves and this is where
we get the courage to go on the offense!
Our reason for being here is simply so we can allow God to do an amazing
work in us so we can go reach the lost for him.
God's dreams are big, his reason is big, his plan is big.
I believe God wants us to grow the areas we are in and next year bring
twice as many people to camp.
Your never too small or too big to grow in salvations. To grow isn't about
numbers, its about saving people from hell.
I challenge you today, to accept the reason that you are here. Prayer
