Sometimes in life we find ourselves in a weird place, a place where we cannot do anything, where we can't help and a place where we just have to wait.
I'm going to be honest, when these thoughts came to me today it was because we were in a waiting room at a hospital with a precious family from our church.
But sitting there today with their family as they waited brought thoughts into my head.
Sometimes in our life we find ourselves in a waiting room, sometimes we find ourselves helpless and the future within the hands of someone we don't really know that well...
In the same way we can find ourselves in a similar place spiritually, where we find ourselves just waiting! Waiting on an answer to prayer, waiting on a miracle, waiting for direction...
What should we do? Where should we go, what should we say?
I think all of us can relate with a time in our life where it seemed like we were just stuck, maybe you're there right now...
Tonight I want to encourage you with this scripture...
Isaiah 40:27-31 (MSG) says
27-31 Why would you ever complain, O Jacob, or, whine, Israel, saying, “God has lost track of me. He doesn’t care what happens to me”? Don’t you know anything? Haven’t you been listening? God doesn’t come and go. God lasts. He’s Creator of all you can see or imagine. He doesn’t get tired out, doesn’t pause to catch his breath. And he knows everything, inside and out. He energizes those who get tired,
gives fresh strength to dropouts. For even young people tire and drop out,
young folk in their prime stumble and fall. But those who wait upon God get fresh strength. They spread their wings and soar like eagles, They run and don’t get tired, they walk and don’t lag behind.
Those who trust in God and wait on him, they will find new strength, fresh strength to carry on, but sometimes we just have to wait, he has a plan and a purpose and when all the waiting is done we will be refreshed and renewed!
So, whatever your going through or if you know someone who is going through something! Remind them, sometimes we just have to wait!
But as we do God will begin to refresh us and renew us!
I encourage you if this applies to you or not, find someone it does apply to and encourage them with this thought!
