We are Kings & Queens

Did you know there are still 120 Kings in the world today, people who have a leadership position over a large group of people.

People who inspire others, people who influence large groups of people based on their beliefs, opinion and actions.

Did you know that the idea of a King or Queen is not only a leader but someone who has courage, honor and is willing to protect and Save their people.

Do you realize that from that perspective, from that point of view that it would then define US as Kings & Queens? Because as Christians you are heir to a Kingdom and that Kingdom is Heaven. Your father, your creator is the KING over everything! And the bible says that “we are sons and daughters of the King”.

Romans 8:17 says

And since we are his children, we are his heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share his glory, we must also share his suffering.

Today if you accept this idea or not… The fact remains we are representatives of Jesus Christ, the king of all kings, the lord of lords. And we have a “people” that needs leadership and they need saving.

And God wants us to take lead. He wants us to step up and be all that we can be. He wants you to get over your selfish reasons and open your eyes to see the world that is lost and dying.

We are Kings & Queens

And we are called to save our people

As I typed this message/devotional over a year ago I had complete intentions to deliver a message that would shake you, one that would inspire you. One that hopefully would help you realize that people see you different because you are a Christian. That you represent Jesus to your family, friends, to your school and everyone you come in contact with.

But over a year ago this message was interrupted by a TEXT message that stopped my focus. I received a txt message that my Grandma collapsed and was rushed to the ER where the doctor said she would probably not make it. She suffered a massive heart attack.

Note: My Grandma made it through this situation but about six months later she passed away.

See in our lives things happen that are UNPREDICTABLE. You can get a phone call or a txt message, you can receive information that will cause you to be distracted and sometimes you can receive information that will challenge you.

After going through this I took that information as a challenge. See my Grandma was one of our “people” that needed leadership, that needed someone to care. Her whole life she made bad choices.

And this world is full of people making bad choices.

So as the heirs to the Kingdom Of Heaven, as sons and daughters of God, we are made in his image and we are to follow after him!

And we need to save those people from a lost eternity in hell.

Stepping Up Into Leadership

For us to really become the person we are called to be in God we need to step up into a leadership role. Everyone has someone that looks up to them as a leader or someone whose opinion matters.

But the way we really take that role is by Standing Up for what we believe in. When was the last time you stood up for something you believed in? A better question than that is have you EVER stood up for something you believe in?

Colossians 1:13 “God rescued us from dead-end alleys and dark dungeons. He's set us up in the kingdom of the Son he loves so much, the Son who got us out of the pit we were in, got rid of the sins we were doomed to keep repeating.”

God has rescued us through his death, through his sacrifice. Because of that I believe its time for us to save somebody, its time for us to rescue somebody. Its time for us to live up to what we have been called to be “We are Kings & Queens”

We are Christians, we are Jesus’ followers, we are excited about God! We want to do more than something for God we want to do ANYTHING for him.

We are Kings & Queens, lets change the world.
